Hey all! I think that we should start this timeline by sharing why and how I've landed in this situation.
When I was on the initial phases of my house build, I was spending a lot of hours ( more than I'm proud to quantify ) doing my researches to make sure that every single aspect of my house would be exactly ( or as close as possible ) to my dream house.. This experience is overwhelming but fascinating and exciting at the same time. This is a dream! to be able to pic that light, this sofa, that light switch etc is super rewarding.
As I was going through all the items, I've started looking at my smart home ecosystem.
This ecosystem, as a lot of you would agree, has to be well designed as the more you add the less flexible it can become depending on the specs within. I always wanted a fully automated house ( Yes, I'm an Iron Man Fan ) so got my router, switch, NAS, Home Assistant etc...
While researching about land mowers I saw a lot of options but my eyes were always drifting back to the Luba series.. I can't explain but it is a nice design, innovative embeeded tech and all the bells and wissles that I felt that I desperately needed :)
When the time was right and a bit after the house was finished, I found myself ready for this big investment!
I started researching about the models, variations, specs etc and this research yielded me the perfect match: the Luba 3 AWD 3000 High Cut.. But.. there was a problem... This version was not going to be available in the Country that I live: New Zealand.
I've contacted our local authorised distributor and confirmed, they had the standard version still in Pre-Order stage and would not be bringing the High Cut version.
During my research, I've decided on the High cut given the terrain topology and other variations.
During this time I was also planning a trip to USA for a short holiday so... Yes!!!!!! THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!!
I, then, promptly navigated the interwebs and made the executive/financial decision to purchase this model and get it delivered to a friend who I was going to visit :)
Here I was.. at the airport ready to go on an amazing adventure and my phone vibrated... My friend sent me a photo of a gigantic box in his living room waiting for me to pick it up!!
My dumb self didn't account for the size of it all.. It always works in your mind right??
Next email will be the soo anticipated reunion with my short lived Luba 3 buddy.
